Tutorial 7 ( Onlince Class attendance for 02/08/10 )

Blending Shapes and Colors (See Adobe Illustrator CS4 Classroom in a Book, Lesson 9 p.258-283). Demonstration on creating and applying a linear gradient at p.261-263.

FIRST STEP


For the first step i create a shape and filled the colors. The shape that i create is the cup based on files for Lesson 09 are available at the Tutorials link.

SECOND STEP


For the second step i drag the shape into the background that was given. Then i create a linear gradient for coffee inside the cup.

THIRD STEP

For the third step i create a linear gradient for background behind the cup.

FOURTH STEP
For the fourth step, i created the smoke or the aroma of the coffee to show that the coffee is hot.

FIFTH STEP

For the fifth step, i create a font (Mike's Coffee), created outline (font) and create linear gradient inside the font. Then i outline the font with a different color.

SIXTH STEP

For the last step, i created shapes and colors of the coffee bean to show the idea that it is coffee flavor.

FINAL

This tutorial that i did by following adobe illustrator website because i don't have the textbook so i google the linear gradient topic and learn from there.

The Step How I Redesign Mozilla Firefox Logo

THE FIRST STEP

The first step i use the pen tool to vectorize an image. After i vectorize the image, i insert the colour and use the gradient tool to make some gradient in that image.

THE SECOND STEP

For the second step, i create world map into the fire and put green colour into that map. After that i use some 3D effect to make the map extrude and bevel.

THE THIRD STEP

For the third step, i change the fire colour to blue behind the map and use some 3D effect to make the fire extrude and bevel.

THE FOURTH STEP

For the fourth step i put some shadow behind the fox to make the fox emboss by using alt+mouse 1 and drag it. Then i change the shadow colour to black and put behind the fox to make a shadow.

THE FIFTH STEP

For the fifth step, i put firefox font at the bottom of the logo and create some tail at font X.

the i put some colour into the font.

THE SIXTH STEP

For the sixth step, i change colours at the font, fox, map, fire and also i create a star and a moon to make some Malaysian flag also to put some local content into the logo. The map also i redisgn it to make some flag into the map. I also put a shadow behind the font same as i do at fox.

FINAL STEP

For the final step, i put mozilla font into the logo to make same as i sketch the logo from the paper. I also change the colour of font X and also the tail to become yellow.

This is the sketch that i create to redesign the mozilla firefox logo.

Computer Graphics 1 (Assignment 1)

I need to redesign, using Illustrator, a known international logo and customise it to fit local culture or local settings. In other words, I need to re create a company logo to fit the localise conditions.

The logo that i choose is mozilla firefox. Mozilla firefox is open web browser. I choose this international logo is to redesign to fit local culture.
